The Mexicans can build it, the Brits can buy it, and the Americans can slip, fall, and sue everybody.

The only thing missing was a background chorus humming 'Battle Hymn of the Republic.'

yes, it seems foreignors will probably do much of the manual
labor, but some local contractors stand to make a bundle...
I wonder who?

I hope many locals "get well" on the coming infrastructure building boom.

Treefrog, they hauled away the big trees and burned the stumps and limbs.

No I dont feel distressed that they are 4 laning 79 to an airport that doesnt exist, this is called wise planning and will be a huge economic stimulus to the
airport that does exist in a short 2 years.

FYI, "all" taxpayers dont live in SoWal, some taxpayers live in other counties, such as bay for example and washington county and of course there are other counties in florida.

"Wise planning" would also seem to include hurricane evacuation routes that have adequate capacity for the population they serve...

"All us taxpayers in SoWal" referred to those of us who DO live in SoWal and DO need an adequate hurricane evacuation route. If you live in Vernon, you don't need to fear the bridge closure trapping you in the path of a big 'un.

.....it didn't stop their stock price from reverting back to 2003.

How about a "rumored" Nukalur Plant?

.

Are you kidding--the stock price is as low as it was as far back as 1999.

Revenue for Joe in 2007 will be 30% plus lower than revenues in 1999. The value of their swamp acreage is nil. They have debt equal to 1 times revenue which is not good from a leverage point of view.

$27 per share is the high water mark--maybe forever.
