Wilson Biophilia Center located at 4956 State Hwy. 20 East in Freeport, Florida. The Biophilia Center is hosting Abrakadoodle-Northwest Florida for an impressive array of affordable, nature-themed camp programs for children ages 5-12. Summer camps kick-off June 5, with weekly sessions each Wednesday through July 31 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, voted the #1 Resort on Florida’s Emerald Coast is hosting a golf tournament fundraiser at The Raven Golf Club slated for Sunday, April 28, 2013 as part of the Destin Relay for Life Team to benefit the American Cancer Society.

To support the American Cancer Society, resort guests and the public can golf at The Raven Golf Club for a special rate of $80. A portion of the proceeds will support research, patient services, early detection, treatment and education for cancer patients.

The Board of Trustees of The St. Joe Community Foundation announced a grant of $10,000 to Sinfonia Gulf Coast in recognition and support of the non-profit symphony orchestra’s performance and education programs for the upcoming 2013-2014 season.

Volunteers are needed Thursday, May 9 - Sunday, May 12 for all positions such as load in, merchandise tent, artist hospitality, wine booths, and ticket sales.  Please let us know if you have a preference and we will be happy to try and accommodate it.

During the month of April, Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast’s Arts in Medicine Program is hosting the 2nd Annual “Music in Pictures”, an art exhibit featuring the work of 328 Walton County students. The exhibit, displayed in the hospital’s lobby, upstairs atrium, and Outpatient Waiting Area, showcases artwork created by students in grades K-12 who listened to and visually interpreted six selections from Carnival of the Animals by composer Camille Saint-Saens.

Beginning Monday, April 8 and extending through Sunday, April 14, $10 from every MONOPOLY®: Visit South Walton Edition game sold at the 30A Games website or at any of the local retailers will benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge.
 

Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) names treatment room in its CVHN Dental Clinic in honor of Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF). DCWAF awarded CVHN $179,000 in 2012 and a total of $395,000 since 2008. The funds have been utilized to support two of CVHN's major programs, the CVHN Dental Clinic and the 'Just for Grins' Mobile Dental Clinic, and other projects that help local uninsured and underinsured children gain access to medical, dental and mental health care services.

On Friday, April 5, famous athletes will play in a celebrity golf tournament at Burnt Pine Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, voted the #1 Resort on Florida’s Emerald Coast. Through the Affordable Home Insurance Charities Foundation this event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
