Dikki Du and the Zydeco Crew kept gumbo lovers hoppin’ during the 23rd Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival. The Mardi Gras atmosphere was filled with the aroma from a variety of gumbo pots.

Sandestin has hosted the festival for more than two decades. Twenty one local restaurants and gumbo specialists entered, and prizes were awarded in several categories. Ticket holders gobbled gumbo and cast their own votes. The People’s Choice Award Winner was Pompano Joe’s, a popular gulf front restaurant and bar right on the gulf in Miramar Beach.
