This is pretty funny, gee now that prices are falling, let's issue a forecast for falling prices. I can't understand why Lerach (or for that matter any "economist" employed by a group with an obvious stake in creating a certain perception) is taken seriously by anyone.
Even more funny is the additional PR funds being allocated to "fighting bad press". Perhaps the NAR should school their members on how to realistically help people buy and sell in a difficult market instead of trying to sweep it under the rug. IMO, those few realtors that add value and provide non-partisan advice will prosper in this kind of market and develop long term customers rather than just moving a property.

The realtors/mortgage brokers, etc. who survive in any market are the ones who are proactive and have value added services and have customers for life.

Very well said. Except in my circle, no one has taken NAR seriously for a LONG time ... or the CPI ... or the unemployment stats ... or the GDP ...
