Is it just me , or does it seem that Nick's needs to be torn down yesterday ! It is such an eyesore. As beautiful as 30-A is, that burned out building needs to go !!:idontno:

It would be rather difficult to build a school on 1.5 acres of land.

Unless they make it a 30-story School-ominium.

....and with no elevators--only steps--and class changes spaced out at least 10-stories apart, with the lunch room on the 30th floor, they'll be in pretty good shape.

That would be good, because they cut Phys Ed back to one day a week. No wonder our kids are overweight.

SJ,
Where?
Both my kids have PE every day, at Bay and Seaside. But, neither school has a gym. At Bay, they are trying to get one built, but want the PTO to pay for the majority of it. I think it is ridiculous that with the taxes we pay, that the school district cannot provide a gym without having to fund raise to do it! This county is so backwards. Is this just another North Walton vs, South Walton issue? Since when do parents pay for a gym? I know this is so off topic, but IMO, until someone takes up the Incorporation drive, we will continue to have to fight for things we should already have in place.

I hear that the Funk (DeFuniak), has once a week PE -- according to Grayton Kid. Maybe you guys could borrow their mostly unused gym.

The school could build a skybridge to an infill lot on BMB road and exercise on the beach.
