Looks like Doodle has put a boatload of beach front property up for sale in Seagrove. I counted at least 7 lots with Harris family and friends signs up for sale.
Looks to me like he has at least $10 million invested in these properties excluding the significant carrying costs associated with the investments which easily exceeds a couple of million. It will be interesting to see if he can come close to recouping his investment in a very soft market.

Which house is his?Well, the one just to the west of where the big pool was. It used to be owned by a former Atlanta Falcons foorball player. My sister rented it once. Rumor is that the house will be torn down as well. Can anyone verify that?

They've been painting and refreshing parts of it lately, so perhaps not likely

They have been remodeling the interior and plan to sell the existing house.

Gulf Front always comes back first in a soft costal market.

Gulf Front always comes back first in a soft costal market.
That was before all the recent hurricanes and the threat of global warming causing a rise in sea level that will swallow oceanfront homes if the dire warnings come true.
Also, please let us know when the soft coastal market begins to turn from the downward hockey stick of the last year to year and a half.

I don't want to be beachfront. Beachfront is brutal on a house. One of those thunderstorms that came through last fall (not even a tropical storm) blew off the beachside part of one of our beachfront neighbor's roof. Another beachfront neighbor painted last spring. Even after no hurricanes in 2006, the house looks sandblasted - needs painting again. Second row homes and back don't get that kind of abuse. Not to mention not having to worry about your house caving in due to erosion. Of course, if money is no object, one can afford to take a Zen attitude towards it.

To forecast just when the coastal market will turn just look at the folks that are preparing for it. Soon.

In SoWal a guy known as Doodle,
is selling the Kit and Caboodle;
when the prices are dropping
and no one is shopping...

I heard Doodle sold all his lots adjacent to Seaside. Imagine that! There is always a high end buyer! Congrats Doodle. I guess we all can eat a little crow!😀
