I don't know, what did they tell you when you personally called the business to ask them about the rumor? ;-)

I don't know anything about the place and have never been there. But I have to say, that I hate the name.

DITTO.....the name alone has kept me away!

Its a bad marketing move to have a name that could alienate potential customers.

A lot of the gay locals got excited thinking it was one of those Steelers bars. :funn:

What is/was it???? I still think it's one of those bars!

Sign on the door says that they now open at 4pm. No mention of closing. Fairly filled parking lot this evening.

If Salty's were to merge with them they could call it "Salty Balls"

So the name stunk (we still called it seabar), the indoor atmosphere was terrible, but it was a nice stop for a drink and had a wide menu. We could get there by boat, which is always funn!! So what on earth happened?! Some's got to know!

There were two cars in the parking lot tonight, and I didn't see any balls out, but the lights were out.

I am thinking that Kookey and Newfangled Theory truly do know the inside scoop, since Matt played the closing night.;-)

This made me think of the "Schweaty Balls" SNL skit with Alec Baldwin...

didn't ball' out move over near 331 bridge just recently? and now they may be closing?
SoWal Expert
looks like no "may" to it. They were closed tonight. Maybe they are closing for the tourist season and will re-open after Labor Day.

They should move back over to 98 where they started. Seemed like there was always a pretty good crowd there...easier to just "stop by" for happy hour in that location. I remember their grand opening party, I was on my way there listening to Woofie when he said the next person that will come sing "Big Balls" by AC/DC gets a dale jr. chair! I told my son, please do it, but he wouldn't...so I had to. That was funn! Still have the chair and a funn memory.

Uh, talking way too much! Especially in the political forum...I think you are ashamed of me and want to put me on the naughty stool.

Never in a million years, unless it was a naughty stool built for 2.
On second thought, we probably need a naughty couch.

Curious- I was flipping through the latest phone book arrival, and Balls Out has a full page ad in the restuarant section listing the US 98 address. Granted I know there's probably a long lead time for printing the book, but it seems odd to get it after the business had already moved from that location (and then seemingly closed)
SoWal Expert
I was told they closed for $ reasons. For some reason their usual crowd didn't follow them there and they were losing money.
