Brandy Alexander used to be my drink a zillion years ago. Will have to give it a try again. Thanks for the reminder.

I really want to try a Ramos gin fizz. I wonder if anyone at the Red Bar knows how to crank one out

I think I have multiple personality disorder.
I've progressed from Singapore Sling (early college) all the way to "Gin Martini--straight up--extra olives" (middle age).

Cassis is a liquor made from blackcurrant berries. It's 20% alcohol, sweet and syrupy. It's from France, which is where I first tasted it. You can get it here but I think it's better to buy it at the source.
Another really good use of cassis is to mix it with white wine to make a Kir, or even better--a Kir Royal (champagne instead of wine).Checking your forum account
