We will be on the east end of 30A and we need some good suggestions on restaurants in that area.

I love Shades at the Loop, which is at the very, very end... have also heard that there are some great places in Rosemary which I have not yet had a chance to explore...

Love Wild Olive for lunch. Though my husband claims it's a chick food place.
We went to 30A Chops, or is it Chops on 30A, last weekend. Had a lovely meal, though pricey. Hubby had the steak & lobster. I had the kobe hanger steak with avocado bernaise
. The meat on the Kobe entree was absolutely delicious. The only downside to that entree is that it served with steak fries, and those seemed to be right out the Ore-ida bag. We will definitely go back since it is in drinking & walking distance. The martinis were very ample for the money. We figured out that if we got the hanger steak and either the diver scallop or the tuna entree, you don't need to order an extra side and can get out of there for about 30% less. Of course, we would share those two entrees and make our own surf and turf. We shared the creme brulee and it was plenty big for two and very, very good.

Onanos' in Rosemary is very good for dinner as is Wild Olive and Cowgirl Kitchen for lunch. If you are only considering east end (anything east of 395) then Cafe 30A has to be on the list for dinner.

We'd love to have to have you come by and visit Onano Cafe in Rosemary Beach. www.OnanoCafe.com

Not on 30A, but The Terrace is always good for a nice dinner.
And I still like Summer Kitchen in Rosemary for the "fish of the day" sandwich and the black bean rollup. Their pasta salad accompanies, and is not only a refreshing change from french fries, but it's pretty tasty in its own right.
Try "The Wedge" at Shades. A big hunk of iceberg lettuce with blue cheese dressing. Mighty tasty.
Just across Lake Powell, Graffiti is serving up some good dinners for prices that compare very favorably, thank you, to the upscale spots like 30A (which is still a dependably high quality dining experience).
After dinner, stop by Courtyard Wine and Cheese in Rosemary.

Thanks for the great suggestions. We won't go home hungry.

Is Blue By Night still open (I think that's what it was called)? We loved that place last time we stayed in Seacrest.

Cocoons for carry-out (or eating at one of the outside tables if the weather is nice)!
Or Yanni's Seafood Grill.

We dined at Cafe 30A last week, have for a number of years, and have always enjoyed it thoroughly as our pricey dinner (we also include Fish Out of Water in that mix, too), but found the place very loud, liuder than we rembered it being before, and the food just so-so with a warm wedge salad, and cool entrees although the dessert was scrumtuous. The food service was its usual professional quality, but food arrived too quickly with little time for conversation and pleasure. We were in and out in just over an hour and that was salad, entrees, and dessert with coffee and shared bottle of wine. Hhmmmm.doubt we will go back unless we hear reports that it has settled back into its former leisure dining experience.
We don't like Shades much either, guess we burned out on it after three successive years of going there and trying almost everything finding most of the offerings, mediocre.
We have two favorites at Spicey Noodle on 98, and like what we've had in Rosemary Beach at both places although the space is limited and the place seethes with loud kids and posturing adults. We tried the Terrace but felt like we were back at my maiden Aunt's for Sunday dinner. Kinda plastic grape leaves and plastic covered stuff; food was OK.
We like B&A's in Seaside, Piccolo's, D&K's, Dewey's, Dusty's (on Beach Front Road in PCB), and are continuing the search; Coccon's for take out, Horsefeather's Seafood Market for takeout cook-at-the-house seafood, anb Publix on 98 at PCB for their deli.

My crew loves Spicy Noodle. We never miss it when we come down each year.

If we have grandkids in tow, and an assorted mix of other relatives, we enjoy the Old Florida Fish House. The noise level is high enough that you don't have to worry about the kiddos being a tad noisy. The menu is varied and for out-of-town company, they enjoy the view of the lake from the dining room. If the timing is right, you might even be able to sneak in for a dance before whisking the young ones off to bed.

Graffiti at Carillon Beach is open seven nights a week for dinner. Downstairs in the same building is the Dirty Dog Pizza Emporium, which is open every day for lunch and dinner, 11am-9pm.
Across the street from both of those places is the Funky Blues Shack, which has live music every Friday and Saurday night.
