Cellular Carriers - need input

T-Mobile's numerous dead zones along 30A are making me crazy. Their network also seems to get overly stressed during tourist season. Looking for input from others. Is Verizon or AT&T any better in our area?

Good question because in the past verizon and AT&T about equal except peak season when AT&T gets clogged. Or has in the past. Not sure if this has been corrected.
But AT&T also putting in 5G towers along 30A now. You could ask them about when available and coverage but take the answers with a pound of salt.
I used verizon in the past without issues and now use Google Fi and happy with it. Android only though.

I’ve had Verizon for just about forever and never had any issues with service or spotty areas on 30a.

Yep. We had T-Mobile for a while but switched to Verizon. They have the best coverage in this area.

Recently switched to Google phone service. It uses TMobile and Sprint plus it searches for open wifi and I haven't found a dead spot yet.

Here's a referral code to get a $20 credit when you join Google Fi! Redeem it at Google Fi - A Different Kind Of Phone Plan

Thanks everyone for your input. Overall, it looks like Verizon is the best bet for me. Keeping a signal while working along 30A is critical for me. Love the idea of Google Fi, but I'm leery of the shared T-Mobile network.

I don't have a problem wth Fi. It's android only though if you're an iFool.

There’s a “dead zone” that runs East-west (or vice-versa) thru Point Washington with Verizon. I think it is due to electronic warfare between SOCOM in FWB and Tyndall....

That's not true. Fi is available for many models of iPhone.

I found this detailed cellular coverage map site that appears to be less "aspirational" on the part of the cellular company marketing people and perhaps more realistic: Verizon Wireless 3G / 4G / 5G coverage - nPerf.com

You can change carriers and see the impact it has on coverage in a specific location along 30a. However, it does not yet show any impact of the reported AT&T 5G towers along 30a.

We have been AT&T customers for 25+ years but have been very disappointed in their coverage around Draper. So we are considering Verizon. I know as soon as you get south of 30a or inside a structure, signal really suffers. Any input would be appreciated, especially with Verizon.

Verizon has had the best service here. AT&T is launching 5G in SoWal soon. A store clerk said by the end of the year. I have no idea of how it will work but might be worth it if you get a good signal from your home or biz.
