Walton County School District: Schools Closed Sept 14 Due to Storm

Walton County School District
Sunday Sept 13 Announcement

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee and information received from Emergency Management, Walton County is expected to receive wind gusts in excess of 40 mph and heavy rain from Tropical Storm Sally. Due to that, and in an abundance of caution, we are cancelling all Walton County Schools for tomorrow, Monday, September 14th, as we anticipate unsafe travel conditions, especially for our school buses. Closures include both students and employees. As always, safety is our number one priority. We will continue to monitor the weather, and we encourage you to continue to check back on our district and schools’ websites and social media platforms.
