Are they removing it? Had not heard that, Walton County agreed to sell the boardwalk to the Watercolor Community Association for $750,000, and the county has abandoned the easement to the beach. The parking lot is still county property. The commissioners are supposed to discuss what to do about the parking lot at their meeting on March 26.

The county may not, but I can assure you Watercolor will. This is all about limiting public access.

Have been wondering what will happen with the walkover. Someone was saying the association wanted it to serve for beach access for Watercolor people with arm bands like Seaside. But will the Watercolor beachfront property owners be OK with that?

$7,500 is correct amount on the boardwalk, apologies!

Thanks for the info.

$7,500 wouldn't pay to build 10 feet of that walkover. So the access is stolen and we give away a million dollar walkover for peanuts. When the county gets bent over it grabs its ankles.

I bet they end up selling the parking lot to WaterColor HOA also, if the walkover is to be used by the entire association. Hope they get more than $7,500 for it. Went by there today and the lot was packed with cars circling, all people going to Seaside.

Seaside or WaterColor could buy it and easily make their money back charging to park.

St. Joe probably needs it for WaterColor Inn and town center business parking.

The county could set it up for paid parking and make a mint.

Place your bets: 4 story parking garage or five monster houses?
