What a treat to see this osprey (birders please correct if hawk, etc.) perched on top of this waving flag during a day trip from SoWal to historic Ft. Pickens in the Pensacola Beach area. So much beautiful nature blended in with our history in this area. I could not have planned this moment. Friends from Germany were impressed. The majestic bird posed for a few minutes then flew off to the dunes and natural landscape surrounding this national park.
