The Cultural Arts Alliance Supports Students in Walton County

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County believes that educating children in the arts is crucial to their academic and individual development. Unfortunately it is getting more difficult for educators to supply classrooms with ever-growing needs as funding is cut drastically.

The Cultural Arts Alliance is trying to help enrich the lives of students in Walton County through the arts. Each year the CAA provides assistance through Teacher mini grants and need-based student scholarship programs to teachers and students in Walton County.

A First Look at the 2012 Artsquest Poster and Artist Robin Wiesneth

Miramar beach resident Robin Wiesneth's acrylic painting titled "Elvis Flies for K9 Air" was selected from among 200 submitted images to represent the 2012 ArtsQuest Fine Arts and Music Festival. Produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA), the 24th annual event will be held over Mother's Day Weekend, May 11-13, and features activities for the entire family in downtown Seaside. Wiesneth's artwork will be featured on posters, t-shirts, and other marketing pieces promoting the event.

Seaside Rep Presents Every Christmas Story Every Told (and then some!)

Three actors, in what starts out as a pared-down version of the Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, stage a mutiny and, in an effort to breathe new life into an old tradition, attempt to tell “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!).”

Along the way, we are provided with factoids about Christmas traditions from around the world, watch a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade go horribly wrong, and hear every Christmas Carol ever written in 90 seconds.

CAA Has A Special New Place on Hogtown Bayou

The Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA) of Walton County has officially opened its doors to what is sure to be one of Walton County’s most special and prized places of interest. Nestled in the scrub oak and palmetto, the building isn’t even visible from the road, but is just off CR 393N by Cessna Park, the new sign leads you to  Walton County’s newest genesis for art and culture.

Sitting at the water’s edge a wooden ramp or stairs leads visitors to the wrap-around porch of the rustic Florida shotgun-style building that now serves at the Cultural Arts Alliance’s official residence.
