Comfort is Always in Style at Fashionably Late in Grayton Beach

July 11, 2018 by Audrey Johnson

Fashionably Late’s fun apparel is versatile enough to take you from a wine festival to a wedding…and all of life’s moments in between.

Splashes of color adorn fixtures in the contemporary women’s boutique that has found a home in a light-filled space at Uptown Grayton. Owner Amy Huff just celebrated the three-year mark this past Spring. Yet from day one, her happy task has remained the same.

“I like for people to feel good and feel comfortable in what they’re wearing,” says Amy.

The team at Proffitt PR spends most of their days hustling in heels. Between board meetings, networking events and charity soirees, you'll always find them looking fabulous. We thought it fitting to ask them to model some of Fashionably Late's newest arrivals and they rocked it.

One could argue that the most confident person in the room is the most comfortable. Being comfortable in your own skin radiates confidence, and the perfect clothes magnify it. Garments by Drew, Krisa, Waverly Grey, Crosby by Mollie Burch, and Marie Oliver fuse quality construction with pops of color.

If color is essential to a fun wardrobe, then quality denim is even more important. (Few things make you feel ready to take on the world like the perfect pair of jeans.) Fashionably Late’s denim bar by DL 1961 features shorts and jeans in shades from white to indigo.

Accessorize with dainty necklaces and statement earrings by Love Poppy Jewels. And everyone needs a favorite pair of hoop earrings by Sheila Fajl. Crossover bags from Gigi New York convert to clutches and come in shades from nude to blue.

The saying also goes, clothes don’t make the man. Beautiful clothes at Fashionably Late boutique are a mere bonus to the service that Amy provides to each and every client that walks through her door. In fact, she’s considering her customers before they even visit.

The boutique is immaculate. Relaxing music and subtle fragrance fill the air, setting an inviting mood. Color stories evoke memories yet to be had in the perfect beach kimono, a fun romper for girl’s night, a 60s inspired shift for dancing at The Red Bar.  And for out-of-towners, a fun little something to remind you of your time at the beach.

“I have specialty clothing, so I offer specialty service as well,” says Amy.

The character of the space reflects the owner, fun and personable and sophisticated. And with every purchase made at Fashionably Late, Amy’s motto rings true. People will stare. Make it worth their while.

Fashionably Late Boutique is located at Uptown Grayton next door to Grayton Seafood Co. The boutique is open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturday from 9am-4pm.
