Bud & Alley's Taco Bar is Authentic and Fresh

November 12, 2013 by Leanne King

Bud & Alley's of Seaside is an icon of the community. Rather than creating an ambiance, they have simply allowed the lifestyle of SoWal to dictate the atmosphere of all they do. This natural course has carried over to the Taco Bar. This festive little dive has all the colors and deliciousness of Mexico. Don't walk in expecting a generic taco experience. Taco Bar creates a fresh, authentic experience with a full bar offering tasty tequila and specialty drinks.

Indoor and outdoor seating allow for bare feet with sandy toes. Being right on Scenic 30A means it's a great place to stop in for a lunch on the spur of the moment. Open Monday - Sunday from 11a.m. to 9 p.m. also makes Taco Bar a great place for dinner. Opening at 11 a.m. is in tune with beach wake-up hours and what better after you roll out of bed than breakfast burritos and scrambled eggs, Mexican style?

The range of items on the menu reminds you that although the atmosphere is relaxed, the food is sophisticated. Baha-style fish tacos, grilled shrimp tacos, pollo, vegetarian tacos, carnitas tacos and burritos, are just a few of the delicious offerings. People line up for the most popular taco on the menu - fish tacos. It's a crowd favorite, always fresh from the Gulf. The Shrimp Tacos are also very popular and will keep you coming back again and again.

You can dress your taco to your liking at the Salsa Bar. This little gem is full of limes, cilantro, onions and homemade pico de gallo. There is nothing prepackaged at Taco Bar. Guacamole, salsa and cheese dip are freshly hand made.

Taco Bar offers domestic and mexican import beer, perfect for washing down a little spice. Specialty drinks include Baja Beach Punch, Tequila Sunrise and Seaside Sunset. And how authentic could a Mexican place be without a delicious Margarita concoction? This is where you discover just how special this Taco Bar really is. Have a House Margarita that's classic and served on the rocks or frozen, or prepare for greatness with a Margarita Suprema. The Suprema is contrived of Superior Extra-Anejo tequila and 100-year-anniversary Grand Marnier! Perfect for celebrating a special event, or for simply celebrating the beach life!

"As the weather cools off, our tortilla chicken soup is back. It is the best I have ever had. It definitely has a little kick to it that is just right" says manager Mike Gaffney.

Taco Bar is worth a visit for the fun atmosphere, but it's the fresh, authentic Mexican food and drink that make it worthy of many repeat visits.
