11/21/05 - Alys Beach, Seaside, Seagrove Beach, Seacrest Beach, Florida

Construction continues at a quick pace at Alys Beach. Seen in the foreground are entry gateways found on either end of the frontage roads being installed on both sides of Scenic 30A.

Prominence is underway on the south side of Scenic 30A, surrounded by WaterSound. Clear cutting in SoWal  is not a process most developers find necessary, or buyers find desirable.

A “Swim At Your Own Risk” sign stands in front of a public access which has not been repaired since Tropical Storm Arlene blew through in early June. Walton County has announced plans to place lifeguards at six public accesses in 2006.

The sooner new dunes are planted with Sea Oats, the sooner they become stronger and provide protection in the future.

Seaside continues to look better and better.
