High Surf from Hurricane Gustav changed the landscape at Grayton Beach Western Lake outfall
Foamy scum washed up and dried along the high water line. A large amount of small plastic items were uncovered and deposited back onto the beaches of SoWal. The most prevalent item are bottled water tops. No doubt a lot of these end up in the stomachs of fish and turtles. Many plastic cups with WaterColor logos that had been buried on WaterColor beach ended up on Grayton Beach and the State Park.
