Walton County Democratic Women's Club

We are a group of citizens interested in promoting Democratic ideals. All are welcome!

The Democratic Women's Club of Florida, Inc. had its official beginning in 1956, although there had been individual Democratic women's clubs in our state for many years. The organizational meeting for a state club took place at the Princess Margaret Hotel in St. Petersburg on May 24, 1956, which was the day chosen by Eleanor Roosevelt as Democratic Women’s Day. Eighteen active Democratic Women gathered to do business as the Democratic Women’s Club of Florida and to receive a Charter from the Secretary of State. From that small beginning in 1956, the Democratic Women’s Club of Florida, Inc. now consists of nine regions, representing over 40 clubs.

Walton County's Democratic Women's Club was formed in the fall of 2006 with ten founding members. Since that time, the club has grown to more than 55 dues paying members. Meetings are held quarterly -- usually the last Thursday of the month. Locations and times can be found  on our Club Events calendar.

Good day!

I am the collegiate adviser at SWHS. I am inquiring if you offer any scholarships to our seniors in Walton County.

Thank you for assistance on this inquiry.
