The Seaside Community Foundation for Culture and Education promotes a vital cultural life in the community for the benefit of residents and visitors alike. By design, it strengthens the artistic and cultural education of our young people- ensuring that the generations to follow will profit from and foster these ideals that the Foundation embraces.
It encourages and supports the development of the resident institutions (the Seaside Institute, the Seaside Repertory Theatre, the Seaside School and the Community Performing Arts Center), whose continued success provides valuable cultural and educational opportunities for Seaside and the surrounding communities. The Foundation, through gifts, grants and scholarships encourages and supports creativity and competence in the arts- providing programming, education, materials and more to enhance the perspectives of artists and consumers alike.
It celebrates its heritage and origins with diversified programming and education that examines our history and our environment. The Foundation respects those who call Seaside home and those who come simply to enjoy the hospitality and beauty of the area by encouraging and supporting cultural and educational programs that illustrate to travelers how desirable our community is to relax and vacation in.
By assessing and redistributing funds that the Foundation receives, the Foundation nurtures its resident organizations and promotes strong and healthy relationships with the neighboring communities in Walton, Bay and Okaloosa counties. Ultimately, the Foundation seeks to provide culture and art as an intrinsic and fully accessible aspect of life in Northwest Florida.
