The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) is proud to announce that 17 artists were recently chosen to exhibit their original work in The Foster Gallery’s Winter Rotation, which runs December 3, 2017 through February 25, 2018.
The selected artists are Melody Bogle, Jacques Camp, Donnelle Clark, Connie Dismukes, Linda Kernick, Shelley Minchew, Rosalyn O’Grady, Maxine Orange, Marian Pacsuta, Kyle Paxton, Lesha Porsche, Mary Redmann, Kathleen Schumacher, Jenna Varney, Robin Wiesneth, Krista Vind, and Chandler Williams. Selected by jury, all artists are members of the Cultural Arts Alliance and each will exhibit and sell their work in their own section of the gallery.
The opening reception will be held in conjunction with the CAA’s 2017 Winter Social on Thursday, December 7 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. The Winter Social is held each year to celebrate and thank the CAA’s volunteers and members and award the annual CAA Volunteer of the Year Award. This year, the CAA will also announce the first-ever CAA Arts Partner of the Year Award. Guests will enjoy complimentary appetizers and live music. A cash bar will offer beer, wine and champagne.
Additionally, the popular One Size Fits All Special Exhibition will open December 7 and be on display through January 6, 2018. While all delightfully different, the original works in this unique exhibition are similar in that each is 10 x 10 in size and all are priced at $125. Spread holiday cheer by sharing the gift of art and supporting CAA Artist Members. All artwork at the gallery is for sale, which is a great opportunity to cross some names of the holiday gift list.
Founded in May 2016, The Foster Gallery is an artist collective led by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County that features at least a dozen artists on a seasonally rotating basis, along with special exhibits, including the annual CAA juried show, One Size Fits All, and invitationals throughout the year. Named for the late Susan Foster, founder of the Cultural Arts Alliance and one of the area’s first professional artists and gallery owners, The Foster Gallery also symbolizes the support the CAA strives to provide for artists in our community.
