The Seaside Institute presents The Movement: A Networking Event for New Urbanists, in conjunction with Dhiru Thadani’s ‘For the Love of Drawing’ Art Exhibit. Friday, October 20 at the Academic Village in Seaside, Florida. 

On October 20, professionals are invited to gather at the Seaside Institute for an educational session, and networking reception. The educational session of the event will include a panel discussion with Dhiru Thadani, Robert Davis and David Bailey. Following the discussion, attendees are invited to enjoy a networking reception in the Academic Village Courtyard. In addition to the discussion and reception, Dhiru Thadani will be opening his art exhibit, “For the Love of Drawing.” Registration online.

Dhiru Thadani is a renowned architect and urbanist. Thadani is a charter member of the Congress of New Urbanism (CNU), a 2001 Fellow in the Knight Program for Community Building, a five-time recipient of the CNU Charter Award for Design, and the recipient of the 2011 Seaside Prize.

Seaside Institute Members: $25.00
Non Members: $40.00

Accommodations are available in the Academic Village.

Robert Davis is the co-founder of Seaside, which is widely known as the first New Urbanist community. Davis also founded the Seaside Institute, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping people create great communities. Davis is also a founding board member and chair of the CNU.

David Bailey is a licensed architect and urban planner, who is currently serving as the Town Manager of Rosemary Beach. Bailey also served as the Town Planner of Seaside from 2009 to 2013. Bailey serves on the Walton County Design Review Board.

Tickets are $25.00 for Seaside Institute Members, and $40.00 for non-members. Accommodations are available in the Academic Village for those travelling from a distance. Registration information can be found on the Seaside Institute website, www.seasideinstitute.org
