Love Tracks: 5K Fun Run/Walk at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for Love Tracks, a 5K Fun Run/Walk on February 17, 2018 from 7:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. While on a paved trail through the park race participants will enjoy a beautiful view of long leaf pines, saw palmettos and a variety of other plants and animals.
Those running or walking the 5K without a dog will start at 8:00a.m. Those running or walking with a dog will start at 8:45a.m.
Race entrance fees are $5 for children, $10 for adults, $15 for adults with a dog ($5 for each additional dog). For the safety of participants dogs are only allowed to enter with an adult. All race participants registered by January 26, 2018 will get a bag and a t-shirt. The registered dogs will get a bandanna. Post-race celebration will be 8:30a.m. – 11:00a.m.
All funds raised for during this event will benefit the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and help them further their mission of supporting the park.
Advanced online registration will be available starting December 21, 2017 at www.topsailparkfriends.org. Limited race day registration will be available on a first come first serve basis between 7:00a.m. – 7:50a.m.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, located on the west side of Scenic 30A in South Walton, offers a wide variety of natural resources including 3.2 miles of secluded, white sand beaches with majestic dunes over 25 feet tall. Three rare coastal dune lakes provide excellent freshwater fishing. Although boats are not allowed, fishing from the shoreline yields bass, bream, panfish, and catfish. Lakes, pristine beaches, old-growth long leaf pines, sand pine scrub, and a variety of wetlands offer a bird-watching and hiking paradise. Visitors may bike, walk, or enjoy a quick ride to the beach on our timely tram service to swim, fish, sunbathe, or beachcomb. Gregory E. Moore RV resort features a (non-heated) swimming pool and shuffleboard courts. Furnished bungalows are available for weekly stays. A camp store offers a variety of camping items, as well as snacks and drinks.
