Stinky's Bait Shack
From live bait to cold beer to unique gifts and apparel, Stinky’s Bait Shack stocks the best. While it is the only live bait shack on Scenic 30A, Stinky’s just so happens to be one the most unique shops you’ll find at the beach.
Stop in for all your surf and bay fishing needs or to shop around in Stinky’s retail shop. The Bait Shack sits right next door to Stinky’s Fish Camp. While you wait for at table at the restaurant (it IS first come, first served-no reservations accepted), head over to The Bait Shack for drinks and apps at the bar overlooking Lake Allen.
The nature walk connects the bait shack to the main restaurant next door, and the surrounding flora and fauna. The walk leads out to a beautiful dock overlooking one of the 15 coastal dune lakes in South Walton. You can fish right from the dock (catch and release only) or drop in your paddleboard. The Bait Shack also has paddleboards and beach chairs available to rent by the day or the week.
Stinky’s Bait Shack has a truly unique selection in their retail store, making it a fun shopping trip to see what surprises you’ll find. They carry Real Deal hats, Mojo, Costa Del Mar sunglasses, toys and apparel for the kids and Stinky’s own apparel. Oh and don’t forget the best seller – the ukuleles, which everyone wants to take home.
Stinky’s Bait Shack also carries homemade Bloody Mary Mix, grits, pickled okra and green beans, and Memaw’s Pepper Jelly. You can also snag some of the world famous seasoning mix for seafood, meat and blackening.
The Bait Shack offers a charter fishing service, too. Book your trip at the Bait Shack and then launch with Captain Coe from Cessna Landing in Santa Rosa Beach. Up to four people can go for a full day, half day or dolphin cruise. A charter trip can complete a vacation, so make sure to check it out! Call 850-622-BAIT to schedule a charter.
Watch for some of SoWal's best local events and music coming to Stinky's throughout the year, including the April Fools Anniversary Bash, Pompano Fishing Tournament, Mardi Gras Crawfish Fest, New Year's Day celebration, Earth Day, End of Summer Locals Party, Pig Pickins, and special music guests at the restaurant and Bait Shack.
Stinky’s Bait Shack is the only live bait shack on Scenic 30A. Owned and operated by a trio of partner chefs, Jim Richard, Todd Misener and Brannon Janca, the Stinky’s crew brings good vibes to South Walton. Enjoy good food and good times at their sister restaurants, Stinky’s Fish Camp next door, Trebeache in Blue Mountain Beach, and Treneasse in New Orleans.
Stinky’s Bait Shack is located next door to Stinky’s Fish Camp on the quiet end of Scenic 30A in Dune Allen. They’re open daily from 7 am to 10 pm. Pick up bait, gear and gifts, and enjoy festivals and fishing tournaments throughout the year. To find out more, visit www.stinkysfishcamp.com. Stay up to date on the latest happenings on Facebook.
