Watching radar on CH 13, looks like it came in off Gulf between Eastern Lake and Rosemary Beach heading toward Prophets Way. We are okay here on Eastern Lake. How is WaterSound?

I'm near Camp Creek and didn't hear or see a thing--very worried about my kids at Bay Elem. though.

Things have quieted down here (Eastern Lake) for the moment. All we really got was very heavy rain. Wind didn't seem too bad. Wonder if the system that has been pounding Pensacola all morning will hang together and impact us?

if it helps ease your concerns, the kids will be moved into the new building which is very much built to current windstorm codes. i was involved in that project and know this for a certainty. my sister was once a teacher there and confirmed this as well. i live just down the street and its rather quiet now.....until later

I live by the school, we had a lot of heavy rain, but nothing that I was concerned about. All is quiet at the moment.

Tornado warnings are so funny here- I hardly bat an eyelash if I am at home. No wind ever, just rain. Always non-events. I have yet to witness a storm that resembled the severe thunderstorms I have been in, much less a tornado producer. I guess the forest protects us on the other side of 98- maybe the storms are worse down at the beach and more inland?

Most of the ones you hear are about water spouts. Anytime I hear that one is "6-15" miles south of SRB, Grayton, Dune Allen etc, I pretty much disregard them.

I used to as well, until a couple of close encounters. I actually like seeing them - on TV, not crossing the highway in front of me!
