Have been trying to find a house to rent in nov. and we can't decide which beach! Need a fairly large home [at least 4 to 5 bedrooms] for 8 adults and 2 young children, with beach view and private heated pool. would like a quiet area but close to restaurants etc, so we don't have to drive too much! Since we have never been to this area before we could use some help. Also how cold is it in november? Thanks!

Usually Nov. is warm during the day and cool at night. Usually most rental prices drop to the winter rate in Nov. When I was building my house I rented a 2 bedroom house near the beach for $1200 per month that rented for $2500 a week in summer months.

Good choice---you won't be sorry. There are many good restaurants that you can easily walk to at Grayton. Plus, walking the neighborhood of Old Grayton after dark is wonderful. Your children will find many things to do, and Western Lake is nice for the little ones to wade and paddle in. Our favorite restaurant is the D&K Cafe, across from The Red Bar and upstairs---lots of choices for everyone, including the kids, a nice breeze and a great Gulf view from the outdoor deck. Another fun thing for the family is to rent a DVD of the old cult movie, "Frogs" and then take everyone over to Eden Plantation, where it was filmed (10 minutes away in Pt. Washington). Have a great time!
