I am looking to join a local golf club and am looking for recommendation. Specifically I am looking for one with an active playing membership and whereby I can show up and pick up the odd weekend game with a regular playing group.
I am the golf pro at Windswept Dunes... it is a great golf course, but we dont have a mature membership... we would love to have you out, but if your looking for a club with an active playing membership try defuniak country club or santa rosa, they both have very active memberships... Kelly Plantation and Regatta have solid members also....

I vote for Santa Rosa - Defuniak is nice, but it's a drive. They have great prices on drinks and food though.
Camp Creek has the best course IMO, but it's $$.
If you are male, Santa Rosa has a men's group that plays every Friday. Dunno the women's schedule.
