Builder web sites in SoWal?

Are there any builders that are located in or near SoWal that have Web sites? I have performed several Google searches but just seem to come up with some very generic pages. I am hoping to find a few sites that show some of the floorplans the builder offers and perhaps aprox. prices per Sq foot. I have an extra lot that I am contemplating having a house built on and would just like to know what they offer locally. BTW the house would need to be elevated due to proximity to the Gulf (2nd row).

If you have invested in a second row lot, you need an architect. We naively started out as you are, looking for contractors with canned house plans that we could modify. But after interviewing several contractors, we soon realized that they weren't interested in design work -- they wanted an architectural plan presented to them that they could just implement.

Good luck! It's a fun, yet frustrating and time-consuming, process that's worth it in the long run.

Go to MHHomes.com, click on the resort properties tab, and then click the link to WaterColor/WaterSound. There are floor plans, specs, and photos of homes for sale in WaterColor and WaterSound along with prices.

Also, James Emerick, President of Monte Hewett Homes of Florida, is based in Grayton Beach and also travels to Atlanta and around the SE to meet with potential clients. His number is 850-231-0993. He would be happy to discuss all aspects (plans, engineering, codes, etc.) of the building process with you. He built my home in WC, and I cannot say enough nice things about him!

Lots of homes in SoWal were built from plans at http://www.classic-cottages.com - you can pick out a plan and then get bids. You may also pick a plan and modify it to suit your needs by Prescott or others.

There are some architects' websites that have floor plans for home in the area, and the plans are at a much cheaper price, since they are not custom specific for your build. Get your plans, then find a builder.
