    Re: Looking for Firewood

Make it easy and go to Publix. They have plenty of seasoned firewood. If you order wood delivered, expect to pay for a truckload.

Yay it's that time of year just around the corner!

Does anyone know a contact for anyone selling Firewood with delivery? Say, a pick-up truck load?

Re: Know anyone who delivers Cords of Wood ?

I have a concierge service, we can get you firewood and also deliever it to you. Andi 850-830-0966 insured and bonded, we can also get your groceries and stock your pantry and refrigerator and any other need you may have.

  10. Re: Know anyone who delivers Cords of Wood ?

Regarding recommendations from the original thread about firewood, I was disappointed when I used the most prevalent recommendation, by both the quantity of wood, which may have approached a quarter of a traditional cord
(128 cubic foot and virtually impossible to fit in a pick up truck) and the quality. The wood is hissing, and reluctant to catch fire, i.e. not seasoned.

Does your concierge service delivered a true cord, and what is the cost?

    Thanks.

    Firewood?

Does anyone know of a good local source for buying firewood in bulk? While I usually pick up a bag or two at Publix each time, I thought it'd be great to find a local resource and buy a bunch at one time. Thanks!

    How deep?

A standard cord of wood is 4x4x8 feet. That's 128 cubic feet.

Pam the firewood lady has been bringing mine to my house for years. I watched her kids grow up, year by year, as they helped her unload the truck. Very nice lady, and the wood is hardwood, no pine, and well seasoned: phone 326-5351.

We usually use Alto as well...but he was out in TX last time we needed a load. Got it from Jim Cooper down on Millard Gainey Road south of DFS.
