Bark Park Grand Opening - 8/29/06

    Got this email:

Dear Friends, Family and Dog Lovers,
The Board of Directors of Bark Park, Inc would love to have you join us for the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the Bark Park on Tuesday, August 29th at 5PM.
The first off-leash dog park in the area is the result of a two year long vision and a wonderful joint agreement between Walton County and Bark Park Inc, a non-profit organization. We have raised over $30,000 in donations of the $36,000 necessary to build the park and estimate it will cost about $15,000 annually to operate. We have an area for big dogs and little dogs and hope to add an agility course in the future. Our near term wish list (including no rain on opening day) is for a gazebo for the little dog park to provide some shade for the dogs owners. If you know of someone who would be willing to donate a gazebo or build one for us, please let us know.

We’d love to see you for the grand opening. If you would like more information on the park and park membership, please give me a call at 850-585-1146 or visit the Bark Park Website at www.barkparkinc.org. For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 will not be allowed inside the park fencing.

The park is on JD Miller Road, which is one block west of the intersection of HWY 331 and 98. Go north on JD Miller about ¼ Mile and the park is on the right just after the white fence.

    Best Regards,
Pat Carlyle on behalf of the
    Bark Park Inc. Directors

SJ should build the gazebo!!! IBD, I love me a dobie. I had one from 5weeks to 12 1/2 years old. The best dog I ever had. I miss her terribly. She was a big, big baby.....would never have hurt a fly! You need to post a picture of your baby!!!
