I like this one- this chick says "Scoop in your little tummy" about 20 different times. I play those sections alot!

Anything with Mari Winsor is great too- she was Daisy Fuentes trainer (which lended zero cred for me, but just so you know) and her 20 minute Pilates is great.

Re: SoWell on Sowal
well, I'm suppose to go to pilates/yoga class at 8:30, but today is screwed because my housekeeper is coming this morning (instead of tomorrow as scheduled), and I gotta get the toys picked up and spidey out of the house so they can do their magic. spent all day yesterday getting caught up in the house so someone else can deep clean it (this is why I don't like having a housekeeper - too much work involved). But, it will be worth it, and I can do my new DVD that I've had for about 6 months, this afternoon in the house.

Good goal!!! I don't care much for water, so have to force myself to drink it. You're right that it really helps with the weight loss. Have you tried those little Crystal Light flavors that you put in the bottled water? Does that defeat the purpose? The lemonade one is really good....but I'm sure lots of sugar. Nevermind....will try to follow your good example and choke down some plain.I love Jesus, but I drink a little. ~Gladys

Re: SoWell on Sowal
you can put a smidgen of cranberry juice or something in it if you need to. but I think if you just drink plain ice water, it's easier and you can take it everywhere and pee all day long (but I do remember that your bladder adjusts and you can eventually drink gallons without peeing all day long).

Re: SoWell on Sowal
Daily update: So far.
Breakfast: Non-fat vanilla yogurt
Snack: 5 of those little tiny peanut butter crackers
my friend ate the sixth one without even asking--she is no longer
my friend!
Lunch: Chick-fil-a grilled chicken sand. on wheat
uh, I mean
yummmmmmmmm!
Diet Coke-a really big one! Hey, it's Texas and it's hot!
Water: Probably a quart so far
Dinner: Tomato soup and 6 crackers (cupboard is bare!)
Exercise: Maybe about a mile and a half with Maggie. Mermaid, all those
bike people just flew by me on the trail. I'm thinkin' maybe this
is the way to go!
Now: Sweating my ass off and trying to recover from all that
strenuous exercise.
Thoughts: Exactly how many calories did we determine typing burns?
There are fatter people out there than me.
I just love water....I repeat....I just love water.
Reunion in 58 days!

DD and all:
this is my first real day of healthy eating and I'm excited:
Breakfast: lowfat vanilla yogurt with bran, oj, coffee, water
Lunch (with Cork and Too Far Tampa - loved meeting TFT) - small ceasar salad with shrimp, non-sweet iced tea. (I NEVER EVER order a salad when I go out to eat - but I did it today).
Dinner - hamburger patty over a bed of chopped spinach and tomatoes (another salad!!! OMG!!)
no snacks today - didn't have the time.
I tried upping my water intake all day, but didn't plan ahead enough to have adequate supply with me while in the car going here and there. but still managed to drink about 32 ounces. will do better tomorrow.
exercise? okay, I did only about 15 minutes of Iron Yoga - after finally unwrapping the DVD. the phone rang. I answered. end of story.

Re: SoWell on Sowal
Yes yes yes gulls on the water drinking!!! It helps you metabolize better and get rid of fat faster, no joke. MOst of us (75% according to the latest reports) are chronically dehydrated because we don't drink enough plain water.
I have to say I wasn't a water drinker either but I made myself get into the habit. I bought Fiji water at the grocery--comes in that pretty little square bottle with the tropical flowers and palms on it. I kept the bottle and refill it with filtered water from the fridge dispenser and it's attractive enough that it doesn't feel like a pain in the butt to get the required daily amount of H2O. All you need to drink is 3 of those bottles a day (it holds 2 cups of water) and then with coffee, juice and milk during the day, you're all set.Dolce far niente

Re: SoWell on Sowal
I like those pretty bottles--you're right, it does make it easier. I have now added another 33.8 oz. to my earlier amount--so that makes about 96 oz. plus that big ole diet coke had some water in it too, i just know. And 2 cups coffee this morning--I forgot about those.

Re: SoWell on Sowal
Mermaid - you have a point about finding a cute container for water drinking. haven't thought of that.
DD and all: Cork and I are both going to be out of town, starting today for Cork and tomorrow for me, returning Monday or Tues next week. But, we've talked about how we will need to continue at least eating right as much as possible (and we're both going to be at our Moms houses, so this could be very hard).
Anyway, just letting you know that we'll be MIA but please carry on the Sowell thread!!!!!!!
I plan to finish my motivational diet books while I'm away, and be ready to do my menu planning upon my return.
Allifunn doesn't realize that her butt is going to yoga next week when she's here.
Plan for today: going to the movies with 4 little boys. will eat only good stuff. will drink lots of water and find a cute water bottle per Mer's suggestion. Will go for a walk with boys later in the day...

Re: SoWell on Sowal
I saw a report on TV recently that said the water intake recommendations we've all been taught aren't really accurate, so I tried to find the info online. Found several links all saying kind of the same thing--we simply need to replace the amount of water we lose, which varies from person to person. Info even came up on Snopes since it falls into the category of "urban legend," I guess. Just hoping to encourage those of us who feel

Re: SoWell on Sowal
My plan for loosing weight:
1. Go to Italy and walk miles and miles around some of the most beautiful and historical cities in the world. Drink lots and lots of water...cauz it is HOT HOT HOT!
2. Exercise the eyes by feasting them on glorious scenes, exercise the nose by sniffing the most glorious aromas in the world, exercise the brain by overloading it with the most glorious sights in the world.
3. Exercise the arms by lifting camera over and over again to capture the amazing sights that are Italy.
4. Go to Greece and walk miles around the most lovely little towns with winding cobblestone streets. Take in glorious vistas (while sipping on low cal wine
)
5. Exercise the arms by stretching out with euros in hand to make purchases!
6. Dine on Greek salad & Gyros (OK...not so low fat...but WHO CARES???? This is GREECE and no one gains weight here!)
7. Exercise the arms more by lifting camera over & over to take pictures of all the amazing architecture, vistas and scenery that is Greece.
8. Exercise the heart by filling it with love for the places you are experiencing.
9. Exercise the soul by realizing you are in the presence of, and are in the place that, is history, heart, human, humbling and heart wrenchingly HUGE!
10. Does having goose bumps qualify as exercise?
11. Exercise the arms and eyes by wiping tears of awe from your cheeks.~~Dream like you will live forever....Live like you will die tomorrow~~
