Yes, it is how we are all virtual traveling this summer.

Starting on the morning of the 29 Drex and Funngus got lost in securtiy and we almost missed the flight out of birmingham. We got on the plane and thefirst leg was okay. We had 3 hour layover in charlotte where drex freaked ot because she couldnt smoke.. Funngus had to walk around the airport to find a place for her to smoke... it endd up being chilis, they had a bar she could smoke at. then round 2 comes... she starts going on how she cant walk because her bag is too heavy (it was bright green wih a big flower on it and Funngus had to carry it around.)we board the plane and i didnt sit with them so im not sure how it went. upon arrival she made me and funngus get the luggage so that she could get a smoke in before the cab ride. we got to the hotel and the complaints began.

First it was that the sofa was too hard and uncomfortable, then it was there's no privacy in the bathroom, it didnt have a door.the room was a suite so it had 2 rooms and you had to close the bedroom door to go to the bathroom... then there was in the shower there were too many mirrors and no door on the shower, Then she couldnt find hot water for her coffee so she had to walk a block for it...then it was off to dinner.

We ate at carnagie deli and we ate with some flower guy my dad knew from florida( not sowal) This guy was real talk... he had a black american express card, its made of titanium... i took a picture of it with my phone and got the nmber in my head.
yesterday we decided to go to china town and there was a delay on the train so she started up about how she cant stand up in the heat.. we arrived in chinatown and she got her purses and then we were off to ground zero... then we left ground zero and headed for battery park she was okay until we started walking then the complaints started again so we had to take a cab back home.

Dinner... what an amazing thing. we went to some brazilian bbq place and they havea thing where you turn over a green card and the people start bringing you meat and the keep coming till you turn the card to red... MY DREAM. i had top sirloin, lamb, beef ribs, pork ribs, pork sausage, chicken sausage, turkey wrapped in bacon, tenderloin and all sorts of other stuff it was glorious...

we left dinner and decided to walk through time square and we went to the toys r us inside... they have a 30 foot tall trex and it sounded just like drex it growled and everything... "RAAAR the sofa is hard RAAAAR, i want coffee RAAR!" then we headed home and thats it so far wish us luck today in the big city... we have fireworks tonight hope its funn

P.S. Cammy-Cam, I just had to come back and edit this to say I just read this for the 3rd time, this time out loud to Mr. Pod, and I am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes! It gets better with each reading!

Great report Phead!!! Enjoy the fireworks. I'm sure they'll be great! We had our city's big fireworks last night. Macy's are so big they are not disclosing the amount it costs!!!

so... we went to lunch... it was terrible... drex was born to b*tch quote funngus... she woke up talkin about the flower shop and hasnt stopped since then we got to lunch and she couldnt decide what she wanted she ended up gettin philly cheesesteak and then goin outside to smoke... then she complained and said she wasnt hungry when she got it and wondered why it had cheddar instead of swiss. we just got in a cab and left funngus 7 blocks behind.. hope he lives... wish me luck, kfunn just left for work and im with drex all day until the fireworks

Kfunn here. Snuck away to work just a little early for a little relief and recovery. It's so draining. Last I saw them, Funngus was on the wrong side of the street and went down the downtown side of the subway when they needed to go on the uptown side. So I said screw it and got in a cab. Lord help us all.

Toots- we have the fireworks today. Macy's does the big fireworks show in NY with celeb performances, ect. That's why the fam came up- to see the fireworks. We get them good seats, ect. The telecast is on NBC at 8 your time.

Anyway...Drex is having a good old time, complaining aside. They just wear me out!

so i lived through the day with drex... the fireworks were amazing... there were all sorts that i had never seen in my life.fireworks were great, they had different patterns, especially smileys and jellyfish type things. they all wnent to the beats of the music. it was terrific.you cant even imagine it unless youve seen it. but before was terrible... we walked ll the way from 54th and 7th ave. to 37th and 1st ave... drex was goin at it the whole time...after the fireworks we left and began to walk again... the b*tchin started again...we walked all the way to times sq. and sat down and ate at 12pm. then we waited for kfunn and then we got a cab and we are back at her place... btw i made my national tv premiere on nbc tonight during lionel richie... they showed a side shot of me in my orange polo i will be signing autographs as soon as i can get to sowal ill be back later

I missed it!! I was looking every time they showed the audience....maybe I'll catch you next time you're on national TV. Were you singing "Afternoon Delight" while you watched?

okay... phead reporting in the final report before the flight tomorrow... so we started the day late.it rained outside till about 10.... bad news bears.or should i say bad news drex.. before we got there we met her friend outside and she said that she already started because she missed half the day. so by the time we left the hotel it was 130. we went to stage deli to eat and it was fine.. drex was happy after lunch then we started to walk...then we went down to southstreet seaport where we went to an exhibit called "bodies". they have real bodies that have been perserved in some crazy wa with silicone and its all real stuff... well she enjoyed that until we came across the healthy lung and the smokers lung...RAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR i made her listen to the audio thing on it and she started roaring... then at the end they had a book with comments and some little boy had written "i wish my daddy would stop smoking" funngus made her read it and she just ignored it...we left there and headed to the seaport where we sat for about an hour and gave drex her first beer of the whole trip... we then rode back up and got ready for dinner... we went to patsy's, one of frank sinatras favorite restaraunts and she got her food and started back up again... the shrimp was too tough and she said it was bad in front of the head chef he got upset and she said it was fine... btw the manicotti cost as much at this place as it does at red bar. then we went up to central park and then back towards the hotel... funngus wanted to go look at another hotel for next time we come, well drex had to pee so she left after complaining for 10 min about whether or not to go. then funngus got some drink made of aloe vera, it had pulp in it! then we headed home and wrapped it up... we survived!!!

Before you all think we are a bunch of ungrateful brats...we both love our mother dearly. She knows she can get away complaining about everything because Funngus is an absoulte saint. And not to mention, the 2 of them get her riled up to say the least. And yes, she smokes. Is it a problem, yes. Do we want her to quit, yes. Will she, probably not. We've all done the sweet kid things asking her to stop, but she won't. So we just deal with it.

I had a blast having them in town. Funngus now calls money "shenkles" for some reason still unknown to me, Cameron has a hand gesture for my current debt and I STILL did not get the only thing I wanted for Christmas, a digital camera. When the left, while most of my friends get a nice wad of cash, I got a handful of quarters. I swear. Ugh.

Everyone asks me if I have recovered from the firewrorks....I had to recover from the Funn Fam being in town. Good god.
