Scenic 30A closing?

Just had a vendor in our store who said he had just been by the Sheriff's office and was told that 30A would be closed at 3:00 today. No one on or off 30A at that time. Anyone heard this or can confirm this? Not that there's ever a reason to leave 30A, storm or no storm!

Not on my block. Only one family leaving and they have medical issues, need electricity. The rest of us are staying.

We are on high ground, 30 plus feet. We stayed for Ivan, Dennis, etc., no storm surge problems.

Talked to the sheriff's office.....the assured me this is NOT true!
