Studio b.'s Encaustic Workshop July 19, 2012

Studio b., 180 N Watersound Pkwy, is offering an Encaustic Workshop with Rae Broyles, July 19, 2012, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• You will be introduced to the basics of encaustic on paper.
• Explore works on paper including creating one of a kind prints and layering with pigmented beeswax.
• Witness the natural translucency that occurs with the saturation of the beeswax into the paper.
• Develop techniques working with heat and the relationship to surface and texture and make a series of related pieces.
• There will also be a discussion on works on paper involving large scale printing and photography.
