Eating breakfast this am at Cowgirl Kitchen Seagrove. Older woman with short gray/white hair was driving east on 30A in golf cart. Right hand steering, sleeping baby in left arm. Lots of traffic already. Hope they made it to wherever they were headed. Ellen

I saw something even stupider on Saturday. Guy riding bike on bike path, one hand holding lease of dog, dog appeared well behaved at least. A two or three year old child in child seat between rider and handle bars WITH NO HELMET ON.

To my knowledge, there is no medicine to cure stupidity.A lot of stupids could use a healthy dose if there was such.

Both these stories leave me speechless with horror. My home is on the bikepath so I see a lot of bikes and golfcarts. I wonder are golfcarts on roads somehow exempt from seatbelt and carseat laws? Must be since kids are often driving them too!
