Signs and Litter
I'd like to thank those candidates who, so far, have exercised the restraint and placed signs on what appears to be private property. One of my pet peeves has always been litter on the roadsides and all those tacky signs all over the area on public property and right of ways are nothing more than litter. Although I don't like billboards, some of the candidates who are well funded might consider that option. Personally, I'll lean toward voting for people who have demonstrated restraint and some good taste in putting their name before the public.

This precedent was set very early by one of the Dist. 5 candidates down here. When the others see their competitors' signs, early and everywhere, they have to get their name out too- what else are they supposed to do?
I can't even imagine what SoWal is going to look like by November.
Unfortunately, I doubt the county has the money to pay somebody to drive around every day and pick up all the signs that are in the right-of-way.
