Thanks everyone. I am so excited. Been a stressful few weeks for me. Looking forward to being able to just relax and chill on that beautiful white sand. @mango, I sure do and can't wait to wear them at the beach. Thank you sweetie!

My official 2012 countdown!
It's here waiting for ya! Just finishing our June 2012 SOWAL World tour. Enjoyed all of our favorites, but yet again it is all about the PEOPLE that make this place so magical! Have to head north for a while but the August tour will bring us back again. For now, ENJOY!!!

If you want to grin like crazy, catch The Emperor's New Clothes at Rosemary on Wednesday night at 6:30. Grownups love it as much as kids-- and if you come by, stop at the merch table and say hi! We saw it last week and loved it so much that we are going this week too! It is not every day you see royally costumed characters crossing 30A, playing instruments and belting out a One Direction song.

Reporting from Seagrove Beach. Day 1 (yesterday). Arrived in Seagrove about 1:30. We were able to check in early. We were happy. Unpacked the car, made the trip to Publix for groceries (glad we got that done). Made our trip to Goatfeather's to get some steamed shrimp and tuna dip to bring back to condo for our first meal here. Our annual tradition. It was wonderful, as always. Met up with the rest of the gang and visited for a while. Laughed my butt off at Butch Shumate and Pat Miller. Went to check out the beach, and there was no beach in front of the condos. The surf is VERY high. Saw a couple guys surfing. You don't get to see that very often here. They were pretty darn good. The seas are still very rough this morning. It is overcast and dark. I don't think there will be any going down to the beach today. The rest of the week isn't looking very good right now either. We will make the best of it. We are all together and that is what matters. Kelly and I are going to the Red Bar at 12:00 today. I am looking forward to that. Hopefully I can see some of my SoWal buddies!

Welcome to SoWal Darlene! Storm and all! Hopefully Debby will be gone in a day or two and sunshine will fill your week. Either way, you are So SoWal and know how to enjoy the week in any kind of weather.

Darlene, Red Bar today sounds funn. You deserve Texas margaritas instead of beer to compensate for the unavailabilty of beach time. The way I figure it, if it is raining at the beach when I'm there and I dress for rain, no prob! Still enjoyable.
Have a great day!

Kinda late in my trip report......
We had a wonderful time in SoWal. The weather the first couple of days not so good, then all clear by Tuesday morning. I took the boys to Elmo's Tuesday night for dinner. We had a great time. Great service and great food!
We made our traditional visit to Goatfeather's Seafood Market when we arrived on Saturday night for our Steamed Shrimp and Smoked Tuna Dip. It was marvelous as usual. Everyone that works there is awesome!!!
Enjoyed the beautiful, beautiful water from Tuesday through Friday. We finally got to see dolphins on Wednesday. I was so happy to see them again. I saw several Stingray's jumping out of the water while we were there. They are pretty neat critter's.
We ate our traditional meal at Seagrove Village Market on Thursday Night. It was so GREAT to finally get to meet Kitlit in person. Bless her heart, we got there early it was calm. It didn't take long before the place was hopping and she was slammed! Hopefully will get to chat longer with her next time. This is always one of our most favorite meals of the trip. It didn't disappoint this time either. So, So, good.
The rest of the meals we cooked at the condo's and ate there. We are some pretty good cooks if I do say so myself. We like to eat as a group on the lawn at sunset. Perfect atmosphere!
Friday morning I took the younger girls for Manicures, (Pedi for me) to Angel Nails and Spa. They were awesome. Probably the best pedicure I have ever had. Luckily we got there right when they opened because about 15 minutes later, that place was packed. I highly recommend them for your nail needs!
Saturday morning was leaving day.
However, we had a wonderful guest come and see us before we left. Jdarg! So good to see her again and visit for a little while before we had to finish packing up and leave. So bittersweet for us.
We drove over to Grayton Beach on the way out to buy some Red Bar T-shirts and stickers, but they were closed. We really needed to hit the road so we didn't wait for the to open. We will get them next time.
Even though we missed two beach days because of Debby, we had a wonderful trip and can't wait to get back! Hated I didn't get to see anymore of my SoWal peeps, but we will be back!
