About Us
Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation's mission is to bring charitably-minded individuals and wine enthusiasts together to benefit children in critical need. DCWAF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for the purpose of supporting children's charities along the Emerald Coast. During 2012, DCWAF will allocate funds to 11 charities. DCWAF's flagship event takes place in April during which the auction raises more than $1,000,000 in a single weekend.

About the Internship Positions
Event Planning & Communications Internship
This position will be responsible for tasks leading up to the Destin Charity Wine Auction in April 2012 such as: Communication dissemination through avenues including social media; event coordination, set-up, and execution; coordinating transportation; communication and interaction with VIPs; volunteer leadership; other related duties. The Communications & Event Planning Internship requires an individual with top-notch organizational skills, social and leadership skills and an understanding of social media. Qualities this person should posses include:
• Passion for event planning and social gatherings
• Track record of serious work ethic and outstanding performance in the workplace, a school or learning environment, a civic organization, etc.
• A strong desire to help others and an altruistic attitude.
• Patience, patience and more patience.
• A sense of urgency.
• A good sense of humor and the desire to have fun!

Marketing Leadership Internship
This position will be responsible for tasks leading up to the Destin Charity Wine Auction in April 2012 such as: Organization and execution of office procedures; database maintenance and entry; interaction with bidders, donors and VIPs; collection of auction donations and the proper cataloging of them; ticket sales and tracking; writing, editing and proofreading; oversight of office environment; volunteer coordination; errand running; other duties as assigned. Qualities and experience this person should posses include:
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to learn internal software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Track record of serious work ethic and outstanding performance in the workplace, a school or learning environment, a civic organization, etc.
• Basic graphic design experience helpful but not a must.
• Punctuality.
• A strong desire to help others and an altruistic attitude.
• Patience, patience and more patience.
• A sense of urgency.
• A good sense of humor and the desire to have fun!
Other Requirements of Intern Positions
• Commitment to all events included in the Destin Charity Wine Auction – April 26-29, 2012. These events require long hours and your attendance is mandatory. Please do not apply if you have any conflicts.
• Reliable transportation
• High school diploma
