Mitchell’s Fish Market Names New Executive Chef to Grand Boulevard Restaurant
Martelle Lorenz has been named the new executive chef of Mitchell’s Fish Market located in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. A chef for 22 years, Chef Lorenz is a third generation chef from Pensacola where he last ran Angus restaurant, the oldest steakhouse in the city.
“Food should flow like a symphony with the chef as maestro,” said Chef Lorenz, when asked to describe his culinary philosophy.
The award-winning Mitchell’s Fish Market seafood restaurant, opened in Grand Boulevard in June 2007. With a motto of “Fish any fresher would still be in the ocean”, the restaurant is described as “absolutely, positively obsessed with freshness”. The ever-changing menu includes more than 80 seafood choices, including local fish from the Gulf and “every coastline within culinary reach”.
