Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge hopes to open charter school
This is an interesting idea. Will it get approved? Anyone know of any charter schools that exist which emphasize particular fields of study?
Students in Okaloosa County might soon have another option for school. The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge wants to open a charter school designed to give children with a love a nature an early start on their careers through hands-on experience.
“The idea of the school is to give students an idea of what they can do with a biology degree and what kind of jobs are out there,” said Amanda Wilkerson, the refuge’s director.Connect with SoWal !
