In just five long hot days, we will begin our journey to within a few short miles of paradise. I don't mean to say FWB is not paradise, but well....you know. I'll TRY to do a trip report, but well...you know about that too. It's the whole, I mean the whole family. Three cars, one jet ski

, 6 kids, 7 adults. The kids have already about figured out they almost outnumber us. Publix here I come! It will be an adventure, it always is.

p.s.--I'll need a Sowal day to decompress.

Have funn .... I love the fact that so many of your family go together. Especially cousins getting together and enjoying the beach. They just need to learn to love SoWal too! ha!

I know. I'm not moving too fast though. I did make a trip to Sam's and bought a bunch of crap. That's about it. No laundry done yet, no lists made, no hotel reservations for the trip. I think I need caffeine.

Timer set and on the sprinkler to water the plants and wildlife...check
(I'm actually quite impressed with myself. I figured it out all by myself!)

Packed....not so check
A million other details...not so much

But, I'll get there. I work best under pressure.

1 day and a wake up as Darlene would say....

p.s. i forgot to say that i carried about a million pots all around to the back patio so the sprinkler can reach them. got soaked by said sprinkler.

Amazingly, not stressed..much. I feel like once I get out of pucking Grapevine, I've got it made. Yesterday, it took me 45 minutes to drive across Gvine. Ugh.

Only 4 short hours away. Long drive yesterday, but not unpleasant til we got to Lafayette. Traffic backed up all the way to Baton Rouge!! Yikes!!! Evidently it's a normal thing! I guess Gvine is not the only place traffic sucks. Waiting for the babies to wake up, eat a honey bun and hit the road!!

DD has arrived! No wifi. She left Dallas and hit rain in east TX...it then continued to rain the whole way to FWB. I spoke with her yesterday morning and she found some new flavored vodka. She is with 13 family members (6 kiddos) and the rain kept them inside. Vodka will come in handy.

Finally got a connection!! Yippee!! Sunny today, but the beach was a tad dirty. Dead fish, tons of june grass--to the point of soupy. But hey, it was better than rain!!! The poor kids were bored to tears until the sun came out. I've made a trip to Publix and a trip to Wal-Mart in Destin in the rain. OMC. OMC. OMC. WM was INSANE!!!! The produce section was all sold out of most stuff. Sunkist and her new man headed to SoWal tonight for a date. I think they were going to Nick's. I'm thinking I might head over on Thursday. More later...depending on connectivity.
