Hi Diane! I wish I had known you would be in SoWal for a while. I know you must be busy here, but I would have loved to try to get together with you. I know you are know looking forward to going home, but you will get that last big dose of chemo out of the way so you can relax, sort of, a little. I know you must have been having a really nice time being back here. The weather has been so nice during the day, the mornings are another cold matter. I know it has to be hard on you, but hang in there. Hopefully after a nice little vacation you'll be able to go back and handle it a little easier. I called you back the last time you called and left a message, but I know you have to be in the mood to talk on the phone. Call me again when you feel up to it. Not that we can ever catch each other, but we can talk to each other's machines.
I really hope things get a little easier after this next chemo. You needed a break to and coming back here is probably the best medicine. I'm always thinking of you. Love you, Brenda

Hi everyone,
Sorry that I've not updated you on my breast cancer journey, it's been a very long and sometimes difficult road! There have been some high points, like having the most magical Christmas of my life, with my grandson and his dad living with me now! And some very low points as you will see, if you ck out my National Breast Cancer Profile! I look forward to the day, when this will be a fading memory! I promise to update, soon! Thank you all for your continued support, prayers and encouragement, I need all that I can get!
I'm still paddling, as fast as I can!

Hi Diane! It is good to hear from you. I'm glad there are some good things happening in your life to make the road you are on a little easier. Keep strong and positive. I know it is hard at times.

I'm glad to hear from you, too, Brenda! I hope you're well and would live to talk with you, when you can! Seems like I called ypu last, so tag, your it!:-) I'm at oncology office and just had bloodwork done, to make sure it's ok for me to get chemo! I see the Dr and am anxious to discuss the two lesions with nodules, that are on my thyroid! Endocrinologist says they're too deep to biopsy, just wants to do another ultrasound, in 4 mos! I had my pre op surgery consultation for remaining breast removal and she concurred! My gut is screaming and I'm not comfortable, with this! I'm so mentally and physically exhaustef, I'm just going to go ahead with next surgery and deal with that, later! If anyone has any insight, or suggestions, I need all I can get! Thanks and I'll keep you posted, soon!

Don't sweat the thyroid nodules too much. I have four and had to have two other tumors removed(adrenal gland and ovary) in the last three months, but I haven't worried too much about the thyroid. They are usually benign and very common. I can only imagine how done you are with doctors as you have been through a lot more than me and I have canceled follow-ups with my surgeon, just cause I needed a break from being sick. Hang in there Diane. You've got your cancer on the run. Don't give up now! Hugs, love and prayers for a rapid recovery to you!

Hi Alicia,
Sorry I haven't responded, to your encouraging message! You're so right, it's been a long road and I'm more than "done", with it!
The lesions and nodules are too deep to biopsy, but, I'm getting a 4 mo ck on them next Fri, with another ultrasound! I'm also getting the periodic bone scan to make sure it hasn't spread and Mugga to ck my heart function, that chemo can affect!
I really miss, the area! I've been in Mobile, AL for last 1.5 yrs going through this breast cancer treatment and had my last one, 2 days ago! I'll continue to live here thru the summer, since I have 2 more surgeries ahead.
My grandson is over there, I've visited once and will again soon! My last hurrah, before surgery!:-) An angel is allowing me to use their beach house off of 30a, if they aren't! I'm so thankful for the enjoyment, it's been a really tough time!
My hair's finally coming back and black at that!lol I knew that it could be different, but, it's never been dark! Naturally, anyway!lol I have a little "distinguished" grey, on the sides! I figure after my reconstruction with tummy tuck, more hair, less weight/bloat, I'll look 30 again!:-)
Btw, I have a thread in vacation rentals for some friends, if anyone can help, or has suggestions!
Thanks and I'll keep ya, posted,
Diane
