Info needed on picking out bicycle
Hello Everyone!
I am looking at purchasing a beach cruiser bike , but I am a little confused about all of the different brands and prices.
After some research, I have decided I would like one with 3 speeds or so, and coaster brakes. I have seen prices from 150.00 to as much as 400.00. Is there really a big difference in the 150.00 bike versus the 400.00 ones? I will be using it about 3 or 4 weeks a year, so I am not sure about spending 400.00 for one. I do want one I will like and that I will be comfortable with, and not have to replace after only a year. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Regardless of what bike you choose, if you don't want to replace it, you absolutely must keep it indoors. Not on the porch, not in the backyard shed, indoors. The salt air here is deadly on bikes.
The sweetest deal on beach cruisers is at one of the many bike rentals on 30A, as they sell off this year's inventory. Get yourself a year-old bike at half price.

I have found online at Target that is a 7 or 9 speed with coaster brakes. It is only 150 to 160 dollars. I haven't been able to find it at the Target here, so I will check when I go back in November. I will either get that one I think or just get one with no gears at all. If I lived it Florida, I wouldn't mind spending a little more on one. I did see a really neat one at Target that had a wagon on the back.....My husband says, look you can put your beach chairs in here and your ready to go!lol Thanks for the help everyone. Hopefully soon I will be able to purchase one.
