Key Lime Pies Delivered to Old Friends and New Ones

Today has been a hectic day and tomorrow it will continue. But I have to say Thank You to everyone who has bought Key Lime Pies from me, especially those who started some 20 years ago when I delivered them in my Black Rag Top Jeep Wrangler......or those who came to pick them up at a tiny shop in Patrone's and Grayton Corner Cafe.

Thank you SOWAL.com for the opportunity to meet so many members and make new friends. How could I have known that a pie could bring so many friends into my life and given me such pleasure to make.

Between 1990 ad 2000 I estimated that I had made over 10,000 KLPies by hand. I quit counting after that.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!
Oh yeah...it's not to late to order a pie for your week.

I did not know about your pies until now-apparently we have missed out for 3 years!!! I would definitely like to order one for the 12th, if possible. Thank you!

oh boy, I should write an entire blog about the devourment of Kat's Key Lime Pies we bought for the 4th of July. People wanted to hide the pies and not share with anyone not directly related by blood. Tell everyone there was no pie left. complain that there were only 2. (and they were good sized pies - extra big!). deny that they had even ever had a piece - I guess so they could have another. and another. stuff the pie in the fridge under a bunch of other stuff so it would be hard to find by others.. oh, the lies and deception! it was all good funn though.

when I had my first slice, I said, "now see! this is exactly why I should never even begin to try to make this myself... " I would spend a lot of time and effort trying and it just would never be Kat's.

Ohhh Tootsie you make me laugh. What a great description of a family/friends get-together. I've seen this play out with not only the Key Lime Pie but the New Orleans Chocolate Praline Pie.

So glad you enjoyed it.....hope you got a slice! I love making pies as it always brings a smile to the faces of those who come to the door when I deliver.

Kat, I just wanted to say again and for everyone to see, thanks for the pie! Mom and I loved and devoured the pie-maybe vacation calories really don't count!! Your key lime pie continues to be the best I've ever eaten and it was our food highlight of our trip! You are such a sweet and charming lady with such a talent and I look forward to seeing you again next year!

Kristi, it is always my pleasure to see you. Thanks for the sweet words....so happy to hear that you and your mom enjoyed the pie. I hope you got enough "quiet time" to hold you over till next summer. Take care and just let me know and I will be there pie in hand!
