South Walton Men's Baseball League
I'm trying to establish an 18+ Men's baseball league for this fall in South Walton. There is currently a league in Okaloosa, but it's a long drive for most of those in Walton (including myself). If you have any interest in playing, please send an email to info@southwaltonbaseball.org with your name, phone and any questions or information. We are trying to establish a list of interested players so when we have enough, we can make it happen. You don't have to be good to play. We welcome all those who love the game and want a chance to play competitively.
If we get enough feedback before August, we'll try to start a fall league. We are also looking for volunteers and coaches that would like to assist in the administrative duties as well.

I think this is a great idea, as anything that helps get people out exercising is great, but due to limited space and facilities in South Walton the outfields of the baseball fields will be used from August through November for Youth Soccer.
Contact me directly if you would like US98 Sports to help you with alternative space, perhaps in Freeport, and helping you get this organized.
All the Best!

South Walton Men's Baseball League
I was not aware that US98 Sports ran the South Walton facilities....I guess there would be no possible times available to play baseball on the "baseball fields!" Perhaps US98 Sports should go play on the "soccer" fields in Freeport, or be willing to work out a fair schedule.

Just pointing out that there will be between 200-300 kids using that space, that will need to be lined for soccer and have soccer goals on it. Practices are every night of the week from 4:00-8:00PM.
Freeport will be part of the equation, providing practice space for those in Freeport, and US98 Soccer will most likely will be expanding to include at least two matches there for during the season.
When this conversation starts taking into account adults driving themselves versus children being passengers traveling along a busy traffic corridor (along with other implications), it just seems to us that it would be more reasonable that members of a fledgling adult league, which does not yet know how much interest it will garner, possibly make the drive. US98 Sports totally promotes and supports adult as well as children playing any sports, we're just trying to be considerate of South Walton Families here.
While designed for baseball, the county has approved and taxpayers' request for that space's use for more than baseball. The answer of course is more space. We're just not there yet.
There was no intent to offend anyone, rather we offer our help and assistance. We can help get this set up in Freeport and also help with promotion. Please do not hesitate to contact us at christianf@us98sports.com.
