Meditation group to hear Wilcox June 17 on ‘Body Doesn’t Lie’
"Your Body Doesn't Lie to You" will be the topic discussed by Julie Wilcox at the June 17 meeting of the Emerald Coast Meditation Society. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Christ the King Episcopal Church parish hall. People who practice all different types of meditation are welcome.
“Learn to listen to the subtle messages of your body for physical health, emotional well-being and sound relationships,” says Wilcox. “No one knows what is best for you--best for you to eat, best for you medically, best for you to befriend or love, best for you to exercise, or best for you to practice spiritually.
“However, when evaluating what is in your best interest, your body will guide you to know and decide. Learn how to gain confidence in your capacity to listen to your body and respond.”
Wilcox, the founder of the Yoga and Healing Oasis, has more than 35 years of teaching and counseling experience. She holds a master’s degree in behavioral disabilities, and certification in psychosynthesis, Phoenix Rising yoga therapy, and energy therapies. She is a senior Kripalu yoga teacher. She is available for Psychosynthesis and Spiritual Counseling, Energy Therapy, Individual Yoga Instruction and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy.
The meeting will start with a 30-minute meditation, followed by the talk and a question period. It will close with a short guided meditation around 8 p.m. If you need meditation instruction, please come by 6:15 p.m. If you wish to attend a small weekly or bi-weekly meditation and discussion group, tell James at nancyjames@embarqmail.com.
This will be the last ECMS meeting of the summer. It will start up again in September. Christ the King church is at 480 N. Co. Hwy. 393, Santa Rosa Beach, one-half mile north of Hwy. 98.Caroling, www.wholeo.net
