    Do rental owners send 1099 to there housekeepers?

    I saw an article on homeaway.com that owners who rent out there vacation homes are supposed to send 1099's at year end to there housekeepers. i've never heard of any owners doing this.anyone here doing that?

    If you have a management company then it should be done for you. if you provide your own housekeepers and you are paying them then yes you would if you are not deducting payroll taxes. Ultimately I would ask an accountant to be sure.
