Those who vote to defile our ocean and beaches should be held accountable for their actions. Patronis voted for drilling and I believe Marti Coley did also. Mr Patronis also voted against a beach access bill. If they fail to represent the people that live at the beach........ vote em out!!!!!!!

And Senator Gaetz voted against a beach sign bill, wrongly claiming that beachfront properties often extend 150 feet into the gulf!

He's amazingly dense though. He was just on the news talking about the new bridge over Grand Lagoon that would be an economic boom for the area providing jobs. Apparently he doesn't realize that the contractor, CW Roberts, is out of Tallahassee and will bring their own employees like they normally do.

Of course through his eyes it probably works since the 18 month project will be his white horse through election day.

There are a lot of known oil resources available in Oklahoma, Texas and Alaska. All that needs to be done is a willingness by those who do the drilling to do so and for the environmentalists to quit fighting the issuance of oil leases by the landowners. There are many to blame for our present fossil fuel crisis. What some don't seem to realize is that alternative fuels in the necessary quanity to support our transportation system are still probably many years away. But then instant gratification is the American way now days, as well as its my way or the highway, attitude so prevelant in many citizens.
