Not that I know of - closest is the "beach read" section at the library.

You could ask Cheri at Hibiscus. They have a library for the guests. She may go for some kind of exchange.

I was at the Haven House the other day and they have a lot of books... it is west of 393 off 98.

I wonder if any of our coffee shops would have an interest in providing a little shelf space for something like this. I'd gladly prime the pump with a few contributions from my overflowing bookshelves.

Dan, Sally, are y'all here? Interested?

What about doc and dentist offices? They always have the saddest old magazines.

It would need more than a little shelf space. It also might need to be slightly off the beaten path. Or charge a $1 a book to keep abuse down. Any profits could go to a charity or nonprofit.

Or all the books could go to a particular charity. All of ours go to Caring and Sharing.

I just donated a couple of boxes before we moved - oh well. But sounds like a great idea.

BTW, scooterbuggie - Water For Elephants just arrived. Looking forward to the read - thanks for the recommendation. Will start after I finish the book about Johnny Carson's life - easy reading for the few moments I have right now what with house building plans, etc...

Don't we already have this up at the Annex on 331? They'll even let you take books for a short time without donating books, but the option is there.
