Join Park Ranger Chris Horkman as he presents his slide show of the fascinating history that took place on Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. Park at the Day-Use area on Hwy 30A and take a short walk to the clubhouse. A $3.00 entrance fee is required.

Almost any time you see a show on The Military Chanel or History Chanel that involves the German V1 and V2 rockets they will show the US shooting the V1's over the gulf off of rails built in the dunes. Amazingly, the coast didn't look that different 60 years ago.
4 Mile Vilage across from Grand Boulevard used to be a launch site. When you drive in, you actually drive around a block house, and there is still the remains of a rail visible to the right. If you're brave enough to dig through the scrub oaks you can find another."No, I don't skinny-dip. I chunky-dunk."
